My Choice
I chose the staircase as my choice, because it gave the grid many different diagonals and an arrangement of colors. The images are all the same with different edits. mixing both warm and cool color harmonies. I really like the way the lines match up with each other and how some are similar to the ones around it, while others have a different color scheme, rotation, and cropping.
Happy Mood
For mood I wanted to choose a picture that would brighten up someone's day. I took the picture of spring flowers and added extra saturation and vibrance creating a mood that was happy and warm. Using similar photos I cropped each one differently, zooming in on certain flowers and having an arrangement of flowers on others. This created a grid that was original and fun, and that can easily brighten someone's day.
Color Compliments Grid
To get in the holiday mood, I chose the color compliments of red and green. The colors mix well together, though they are on opposite sides of the color wheel. This plant is fun to edit, because there are two different tones on each of the leaves. I took the picture of the entire plant and cropped it down differently on each box in the grid to create a look that's abstract and original.
Monochrome Grid
This monochrome is a green leaf candle placed on a green notebook. I cropped the picture in many ways and created a grid that has a remake of the original photo with other parts of the candle spread around the the remaining parts of the grid.
Cool Color Harmonies
This hose has a great leading lines effect. I cropped, rotated, and edited each section of the grid. I chose this grid, because the colors work well with each other, though they're not all one color.
Monochrome
This picture is a very strong close up with curved lines and different shades of yellow.
Color Compliments
I choose this picture, because I liked how you could look through the tunnel at more yellow flowers. The bold sunflower to the right adds more to the photo, giving it a asymmetric balance, while the colors are very pronounced and are mixed in a smooth, yet strong way.
